First American Home Warranty

Very Bad customer service. I was to have a water heater replaced in November 2021 and have had nothing but issues. Contractor they hired charged me $400 for “Modifications” which I believe is the Term Contractors use to get extra money from homeowners, because the Warranty Companies will OK any issue that contractor says is a modification. First American did not process my request for a partial Refund of the $400 even though it was PARTS that were replaced, and I was covered under their Eagle Premier Plan with First Class Upgrade. I waited on the phone for over an hour to speak to a supervisor (which is common) and was disconnected by customer service rep. First American ordered one brand water heater and their contractor put in a different brand, which turned out to be defective. Save your money and pay a little extra and go to a top-rated warranty company. Ask for names of their Contractors before they start any work on your property.

My air conditioning/ heating unit went in July 2020. Finally replaced in September 2020. First cold snap found out they only gave me a/c no heat. Contacted them on website and was told to submit another claim. They did not replace my original unit as what I had. I feel cheated and no response from them yet.

1. Claim for air conditioning heater. It is almost over two month to fix the problem. 2. Dish washer claim is been over a month and four time scheduled still not fix. 3. Water heater cash out. Email and massage mention should receive the check 3-7 business day, now is over 20 days. IL If you make a call at least need one hour to repeat the problem again and again until transfer you to hang up. Don’t ask me the cash out option, not good at all. Need replace the water heater, but the reimbursement is 30% short to purchase a water heater. All the install fees by myself. The contractor leave the water running a week and need waiting for another week to install the water heater.
